Over the last two weeks our unit has focused on Families! We have had a lot of fun learning about each others families. During circle the students enjoyed sharing their "House Projects". We talked about who is in our family (e.g., Mommy, Daddy, Brother, Sister, Grandparents, and let's not forget our furry family members), counted how many people were in our family and lastly shared something special we like to do with our family (e.g., Go to the park, visit the beach, go to Disney, watch a movie, play outside, etc.). There is still plenty of time to send your project in if you haven't already :)
We read the story Are You My Mother by P.D. Eastman and practiced feeding baby birds with Miss Sandra during our OT Skills Group! Catching those squirmy worms was hard!
This week (Tuesday November 21st) we are excited to celebrate OUR FAMILIES with a special classroom visit! Invitations went home last week and we can't wait to share our classroom with you. We will sings two of our favorite songs, read a story and decorate a fun-shaped cookie!
