Miss Becky
Hi!  My name is Rebecca “Miss Becky” Hackney-Bliss.  I have been a special education teacher for the Franklin Public School department since 2004.  This is my 15th year teaching at the ECDC!  I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island (Human Development and Family Studies) and my graduate from Rhode Island College (Special Education/Severe Profound Disabilities).  I have been working with young children for as long as I can remember.
I live in Franklin with my husband and daughter.  We have 2 dogs 🐕🐕and 3 cats🐈🐈🐈.  I enjoy cooking and baking (M&M cookies are my specialty).  In my free time, I love spending time with my family visiting parks, playgrounds and taking fun day trips!  Two of my favorite places to visit are Mystic, CT and North Conway, NH.

Miss Deb
My name is Deborah Determan (Miss Debbie or Miss Deb).  I am pleased to be starting my fifth year as an Educational Support Professional at the ECDC.  In this role, I enjoy working collaboratively to ensure that our students enjoy a positive educational foundation.  I earned a BA in Elementary Education from Stonehill College.
During my career, I’ve taught students at varying levels including preschool, elementary grades, and junior high school.  I’ve worked in private, public and parochial school settings.  My husband and I have lived in Franklin for 22 years.  We have 2 daughters.
I enjoy baking🍪, cake decorating, gardening🌸, knitting, crocheting, reading📕, the ocean🌊, spending time with family and working with our young learners.
