Dental Health ~ Week of 3/14/16

Last week we had a special visitor from Dental Associates of Walpole.  http://www.dentalassociatesofwalpole.com/
Miss Liz, the dental hygienist talked to us about dental health!  We learned about proper tooth brushing, flossing and the importance of eating healthy foods.  
Miss Liz brought some puppets with her (Spot the Dog & Alex the Alligator)
to show us how to brush our teeth!

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles

~ The Discovery Museum - Traveling Science Workshops ~

Miss Susan from The Discovery Museum visited our school and taught us all about BUBBLES!
We had so much fun!!

Miss Susan showed us how to hold a bubble
without it popping!  The trick...make sure your hands
are wet!

Basic Bubble Solution Recipe ~ From Traveling Science Workshops
1 Cup dish washing soap (Dawn, Joy, or Ajax work well)
10 Cups water
1 Tablespoon glycerin

Put all ingredients in a one gallon jar and mix well!

Please make sure to check your child's backpack for the "Preschool Bubbles" resource guide.  In this packet, you will find a lot of fun "Bubble" activities for you and your child to do at home!!

Our Community - Franklin and Community Helpers

If your child has a favorite "Community Helper" book they'd like to share with their classmates please feel free to send it in!

We are also looking for donations of any gently used/new community helper dress-up clothes or other related pretend play "props" (e.g., baker's hats, aprons, police shirts, mail bags, etc.).
